The following is a short guide and some pointers to help you enjoy your Membership to its full potential.
The complete Constitution, Rules and Bylaws are hanging in the display cabinet in the entrance to the club. We do encourage you to read and familiarise yourself with it.
We encourage our members to add/follow the Official Eastham Home Guard pages on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, where we put the details of upcoming events and things of importance/interest.
These are some of the benefits to being a member:
- You can bring two visitors at a time with you. Your visitors are legally required to sign our visitors book, please ask the staff member on duty.
- There is a small charge of £1.50 each visitor per visit. You must also sign giving your membership number and your visitors must leave the premises when you do.
- There are darts and snooker facilities for use, with only a small charge towards electricity via light meter for the snooker.
- There are certain alcoholic beverages at discounted prices for members. Please ask staff for details and please be prepared to show your membership card if asked.
- Each member is entitled to two free hires per year of our function facilities. If you'd like to book/discuss availability please ask the staff.
There is No Smoking/No Vaping anywhere inside the club. There is a shelter outside where you can go and you must use this area.
We ask that you treat the staff and other members with the same respect that they are asked to show you.
Children under 12 are required to leave the premises by 8pm UNLESS they are attending a function or by prior arrangement. While on the premises the parent/guardian is responsible for the children in their care at all times. For safety reasons we ask that children are not allowed to run around unsupervised inside the club or outside on the grounds. Neither are they allowed to climb on chairs or furniture. (Which of course isn't allowed at any age)
We are always looking for ideas to improve what the Club can offer and welcome any input or new ideas from members. This can be done below.
If you have any concerns or complaints please speak to a member of staff or a member of the committee who can try to help. For more serious issues please put your concern/complaint in writing to the Club Secretary.
